This 8x10 inch watercolor and gouache painting is on canvas paper.
In 2024, my brother graduated from high school, and we took a family celebratory trip to Colorado. A nice little airbnb house in a small town, big glass windows, and nature to watch just from the porch. A mother mule deer and her newly born fawn migrate from one patch of bushes to another, seemingly letting us in on their secret hideout and the excitement of new life. A father fox running up and down the roads, even peaking in the windows, patrolling, frolicking, bringing home the mouse (rather than the bacon)...Mrs. Fox occasionally joining him for a date of hunting... only little Baby Fox decides to tag along behind...
And the magic of the moment, the freedom and playfulness of vacation, the affection of a big sister for her younger siblings, and the magic of creating stories for the wildlife outside and the awe of the mountains towering above, and the laugher of favorite people spending time together.... how lovely it is when there is "together-ness".
This piece comes signed and with a certificate of authenticity as an original sketch.
